Sheesh! What a Crazy Weekend!
Felt proud meeting the crew off the plane on the eve of celebrating 20 years of Singapore's famous Crazy Elephant.
I was itching to show the guys the bar and have them meet the great people who make the Crazy the place it is.
No sooner had we dropped the gear off at the hotel we were back in a cab headed for Clarke Quay on route to a cold beer at the bar. A tower of beer to be exact!
Clarke Quay was a hive of people but the boy’s smiles said it all as we approached a packed house at the Crazy.
The band was going off with beers and cheers flowing. We had a great night finishing up with a bit of local 'Prata' before a good nights rest.

Next day, after some local Chicken Rice, Hainanese Coffee and some sight-seeing it was time to sound check... But wait, where's the bass player?
"Where's Alex?" "Oh man he's not feeling too good!"
In his hotel room we find Alex on his back saying he feels dizzy with heart palpitations.
We take him to Raffles Hospital (Singapore has one of the best medical systems in the world) where the doctor gives him an ECG before advising he's had heat exhaustion. After a massive Singapore thunderstorm cooling down the town, Alex chugs Hydralyte and assures us he's good for the show.
We get to the bar packed to the hilt (400 odd peeps) with Claude Hay in the midst of a cracking set winning over people with every note and loop laid. I don't think Singapore has seen anything like his performance.
There was a buzz in the air with all in great spirits, catching up with old friends from around the globe who made the pilgrimage for the special occasion.
Alex Terry, the great man who recommended me over ten years ago to the Crazy Elephant was very kind in saying some words before we ripped into our set.
Oh man, we sweated our bits off and we gave our all...And Alex survived!
The whole band had finally played the Crazy and we had a blast!
That behind us we were ready to drop some jager bombs to party into the evening, listening to epic jams from, John Chee, Kamal Osnam, Tan Boon Gee, Kelvin Ng, John Hanson (White Buddy Guy), Victor Chen, Alex Terry, Freed Born (Disaster On the Telecaster), Werner Nagel, Gary Tan and many more.
Thanks for the love Singapore. \m/
